An Invitation from Fr. Louis De Vaugelas, LC
Thy Kingdom Come!
Dear Regnum Christi friends from the Ohio Valley,
I hope that you are all doing well.
I write to you about news of Toronto and with an invitation to come with me to visit France. I hope this is good news that brings joy to you.
I keep often praising the Lord for the gift of each one of you and for the many friendships, retreats, camps, missions and apostolic projects that we have been building together in the middle of the renewal of our spiritual family. I thank you for your mercy with my English as for first time I was to minister in English, even though my words frequently were actually French to you specially at the beginning.
Now I’m in an area close to Toronto -- the city is Oakville. Here i
n this part of Canada, people are a little bit more used to the French accent. But still… the other day a pastor of a big parish had me preaching in English. He first had the people applauding to welcome me, and then he had them applauding me again just for my French accent!
I live in community with four Legionary of Christ priests, in a very brotherly spirit. They are very loved by the Bishop, the clergy, and the many families who we minister to through 12 ECYD/Challenge/ Conquest parish clubs and our dear Regnum Christi. It seems that more and more parents are asking if there is an "ECYD for adults." My community brought me the other day to buy some shoes for the snow so that my feet and my ministry can resist this snowy winter!
During the last two years of my time in the Ohio Valley, a group of Regnum Christi women from Kentucky were assisting me in putting together a pilgrimage for men and women to the western part of France. This trip will be directed by Fr. Matthew Summe, LC, and me. It will help us to discover the Catholic roots and beauty of this precious part of the world. It would my great joy for some of you and your friends to join us for a few days in France!

As you wish!
I miss all of you -
Oh la la!
I hope you can make it to France on this pilgrimage with Fr Matthew and me! Otherwise, if you pass by Toronto or Oakville or Niagara Falls, please consider stopping by to say hello!
I keep praying for each one of you, especially those who are suffering and those who have lost a dear family member.
God bless you!

Flyer for 11-Day France Pilgrimage in 06/2020 with Fr. Louis de Vaugelas, LC & Fr. Matthew Summe, LC
France pilgrimage 2020
The June pilgrimage is fast approaching! What a privilege to have two wonderful Legionary of Christ priests, Fr. Louis de Vaugelas and Fr. Matthew Summe, to visit all the tourist and pilgrim sites with us, enriching our trip each step of the way with further history, insights, Mass, etc. Fr. Louis is from France and will have insights that foreigners will not have. Click on the link to the pilgrimage flyer above, which includes trip itinerary, price, due dates, and more.... plus the registration form.
A reminder that the due date for the first payment and registration is March 2.
When you register, there is $600 deposit due. If for some reason we do not have enough participants, all money will be reimbursed after this date.
Flights can be booked through the travel agent on the brochure by calling 888-878-8187, or you can book your own flights through other travel agents such as Expedia.com. However, I would not recommend anyone booking flights yet until we have enough people registered, and if you do book flights this early make sure you have a cancellation policy and are aware of terms of policy. As soon as we get close to our quota of registered participants I will let everyone know. If you are considering going, please register ASAP so we move forward with the trip.
Families traveling together can get a joining rooms and/or up to three people to a room. The cost will be the same. For those wanting a single room, the cost goes up $998.
The cost of the ground trip is $2,548. This includes everything in FRANCE from hotels, transportation, tour guides, entrance fees, and meals. The price on the brochure includes flights out of the New York area. However, it would be cheaper for some of us to book out of the nearest airport directly into Paris. There is a group of us coming out of Louisville that are considering flying out of Louisville for $1,100 at this current moment, or Chicago around $700. Most likely by the time we book the prices will go up slightly. All flights should aim at arriving early June 16th -- preferably around 7 or 8 AM and no later than 9 AM to catch the tour bus, or even consider coming in the day before if you’re booking on your own.
The cost of the trip for the wonderful priests who are accompanying us will be covered, but let me know if there’s anyone who would like to help with part of the flight cost or stipend for the priests.
Most of the details for the trip and the terms and conditions are on the second page of the flyer (see document link above). Because there is so much information on one page it is better to view this on a computer where you can enlarge it. Please don’t hesitate to contact the travel agent or myself with any further questions.
